Welcome to the Robbinsville Professional
Firefighters Association

Web Site

The Robbinsville Professional Firefighters Association, IAFF Local 3786 is the organization established to be the sole bargaining unit representing the career firefighter/EMTs employed by Robbinsville Township.

The members of the career staff have taken a sworn oath to protect the citizens of RobbinsvilleTownship twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, three hundred sixty-five days a year.  We do this with pride, integrity and professionalism.  When requested to assist our neighboring communities, we do so with the same quality and dedication we give to our own residents.

All Union firefighters and officers work a schedule of 24 hours on followed by 72 hours off with the exception of the Fire Prevention Bureau who work 12 hour days.  The department consists of 14 career firefighter/EMTs that have the ability to respond to medical emergencies, motor vehicle accidents, fires, ice rescue and water emergencies and any other incident we may be called for.  If you are not sure who to call, call the Fire Department!

Our mission is to promote a progressive and harmonious relationship between our Association, the Council and residents, and Fire Department Management.
The career staff carries out the duties and programs established by the Robbinsville Township Division of Fire.

We are on duty, ready and able to respond to any fire or medical emergencies.  We are the manpower for fire prevention education and inspections. We participate in training to maintain and enhance our skills.

Our goal is to ensure each career member of our department is provided with the best available protection in the workplace, assistance when needed and representation when required.

We are dedicated to maintaining and improving a healthy work force in a safe environment.

Over the past few years RobbinsvilleTownship has grown quickly.  Town Center brings new challenges to the Department due to close house spacing, narrow streets and truss construction.  The newer enormous homes with their truss construction and great open areas allowing for quick fire spread.  The new high school, the many new warehouses and the new indoor sports complex all pose unique challenges to us.

The uniformed Firefighters are on track to respond to over 2,000 dispatches this year not to mention the many calls to the station for other services such as smoke detector installations and all the other unreported events that we go to.

The members of Local 3786 would like to thank you for visiting and hope you now have a better understanding of who we are and what we do.

We are proud to serve you.

To quote Alan Brunacini - recently retired as chief of the Phoenix (AZ) Fire Department:

"Our consistent response and effective performance create the conservation of community confidence that when you have a problem, you know someone from the “government” (us) will respond and actually help you-no forms, applications, or mindless bureaucrats, just one quick, easy, three-number call. We ask you two basic questions: “Where are you?” and “What’s the matter?” and Bingo! we are out the door on Big Red, haulin’ down Main Street to do whatever is required to make your bad day go away. The first rule of life is showing up, and we always show up."
